This bird has been on my hit list for a long time! I’ve only photographed it once before but I managed to accidentally switch my camera from RAW to JPEG meaning I couldn’t recover the highlights (which I’d overexposed). NOT THIS TIME! I’m very happy with this picture.
Treecreepers are special birds with their unique tree-creeping behaviour and curved bills for extracting insects and seeds from crevices in tree bark. Treecreepers can also be very hard to spot and searching for them requires a lot of patience!
